Overview
I had the privilege of attending Epic Game’s first Unreal World Building Fellowship. I was able to work and learn alongside some of the industry’s most talented individuals in the field. Taking a deep dive into many of the new systems in Unreal Engine 5 specifically geared toward open worlds, and world building for virtual productions. I loved using Lumen and Nanite to craft a performative and stunning world using Unreal’s toolsets.
My specific world was heavily kit-bashed within Blender using Quixel Megascans, and using Unreal 5’s new in editor modeling tools. Kit-bashing Quixel MegaScan assets combined with Nanite allowed me to create a unique world with high fidelity that could be used in the in next gen games, or in a virtual production.
