Overview
I have collected a number of funding sources and sponsorships. Starting with a Kickstarter and most recently an Epic Games MegaGrant which has allowed me to take Ira’s development to the next level. I’ve been fortunate to collect some sponsors along the way, as well.
My specific world was heavily kit-bashed within Blender using Quixel Megascans, and using Unreal 5’s new in editor modeling tools. Kit-bashing Quixel MegaScan assets combined with Nanite allowed me to create a unique world with high fidelity that could be used in the in next gen games, or in a virtual production.
Epic Games MegaGrant
MeagGrant
Ira Act 1: Pilgrimage was enthusiastically chosen to receive a MegaGrant. I drafted and applied for an Epic Games MegaGrant. In this grant I showcased not only how the grant would lead to the games success, but how the funding would be budgeted in order to complete the task at hand. I’m grateful to Epic games and the MegaGrants team for believing in the vision I’ve laid out for Ira Act 1: Pilgrimage.
Kickstarter
Kickstarter
Ira’s original Kickstarter attempt was not a success, but Ira gained loyal followers, I learned a lot about what it takes, and development continued on. In 2016 Ira was Kickstarted again with a brand new demo and succeeded. It was then that Ira Act 1: Pilgrimage began production. This attempt was successful due in part to an early development demo/prologue that was popular on game jolt and with let’s players like Markiplier, garnering millions of views and thousands of downloads/playthroughs. Ira has steadily gained converts along the way, and has grown into a serious endeavor.

AMD has provided me with a high end development rig to assist in Ira Act 1: Pilgrimage’s development. I can’t thank AMD for the hardware love and support!
